Congratulations to the Queen Bees!
As proud sponsors of Beeston Cycling Club, we were delighted by the women’s team’s result at the National Track Championships in Manchester this weekend.
Laura Owler, Alice MacArthur, Dervla Ireland and Matilda (Tilly) Gurney, or the Queens Bees, earned 9th place in the national championships, a fantastic result for an amateur club competing against the best in the UK.
John McCay, Creative Director at RizkMcCay and Chairman of the Beeston Cycling Club, said: “Cycling is one of those great sports that gives amateur clubs the opportunity to compete head to head with the country's elite in pursuit of the coveted national jersey. Our ladies race team 'the Queen Bees' took on the best in the UK and held their own with added personal best times. A blooming fantastic result!”
Key to this success is a combination of the club's aim to be the best you can be, and the support from its members, individuals and sponsors that share the same passion and values for this great sport.
